1.1 ESS Services

As the leading esports event in the MENA region, we believe that the overall event experience is crucial, and that’s why, through this app, we aim to make your experience as smooth and seamless as possible. 

ESS’s products, features, and offerings are available:

  • online through official ESS websites, including ess.gg.
  • off-platform, including event entry management, ticket validation, and sponsorship/marketing services.
  • through mobile applications, webpages, application programming interfaces, and subdomains (“Applications”).

Together, these are referred to as ESS Properties or the Services.

1.2 Who’s Who.

When this Privacy Policy uses the term “Organizers”, it refers to FWZ and affiliated partners responsible for hosting Esports Summit (ESS).

“Consumers” refers to individuals using the Services to register for tournaments, attend live events, purchase tickets, or view broadcasts.

Organizers, Consumers, and third parties using our Services are collectively referred to in this Policy as “Users,” “you,” or “your.”

FWZ, headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, is the primary data controller for information collected through ESS Properties.

2) OUR PRIVACY STATEMENT

2.1 Application

This Privacy Policy sets out our practices regarding personal information (“Personal Data”) that identifies you or could be used to identify you, and which we collect when you use our Services.

Moreover, we collect Non-Personal Data, which cannot be used to identify you.

3.1 Information Collected from All Users.
  • Information you provide directly: name, email, phone number, password, gamer tag, team affiliation, age, preferences, survey responses, or inquiries.
  • Automatic data: IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, app usage statistics, crash reports, browsing history on our Sites, and data collected through cookies, pixels, or other tracking technologies.
3.2 Information Collected from Organizers.

If you are hosting or managing a tournament with ESS:

  • Payment details (bank account, billing address, tax ID) for payouts.
  • Verification information (phone number, identity confirmation, licenses).
  • Data from third-party sources (payment providers, banks, marketing partners).
3.3 Information Collected from Consumers.

If you are a participant or attendee:

  • Ticketing & registration data: event registration forms, ticket purchase details, seat assignments, or attendance confirmations.
  • Financial data (payment card details processed securely by third-party providers).
  • Tournament-specific data: eligibility confirmations, match results, gamer IDs.
  • Information shared by organizers during registration.
3.4 Information from Third Parties.

4) HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
